RIT conferred some 4,200 degrees this academic year at all its campuses-including in Croatia, Dubai, Kosovo and China. The university held its 134th annual commencement celebration in May.

Students whose semester averages were 3.6 or above were recently placed on the Dean's Honor List. The following local students have been awarded this outstanding academic achievement in the Spring 2019 semester.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

Students have been named to the president's list at James Madison University for the spring 2019 semester. Students who earn president's list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of 3.900 or above.

The following students have been named to the Spring 2019 Dean's List at University of the Sciences. Selection for this award is based on completing and passing all assigned courses with no grade below a "C" and attaining an academic average of at least 3.4 for courses taken in the spring of 2019.

A total of 11,406 students enrolled during the 2019 spring term at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or to undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

Bucknell University has released the dean's list for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2018-19 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean's list recognition.

Slippery Rock University has announced its dean's list for the spring 2019 semester. The dean's list consists of SRU undergraduate students who earned an adjusted semester grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, based on a schedule of at least 12 newly attempted and earned credits.

The UVM Honors College enrolls some of the most capable students from the full spectrum of academic programs at UVM and provides a rigorous, multi-disciplinary academic challenge that complements and enriches the entire undergraduate experience.

This summer, more than 150 UD undergraduate students have worked on a range of research projects in disciplines all across the university as well as in the community. Over the past 10 weeks, they have collaborated with their faculty mentors and, in many cases, with other undergraduates and with graduate students, learning how original research takes place and creating new knowledge themselves.

More than 70 students in the doctor of physical therapy program at University of the Sciences received a white coat at the Annual Physical Therapy White Coat Ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018. The White Coat Ceremony is an annual rite of passage for students entering the professional phase of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program.

Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania congratulates the more than 1,500 students who received their academic degrees on May 12, 2018
